The European Commission (EC) is considering a âDigital Omnibusâ package that would substantially rewrite EU privacy law, particularly the landmark General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Itâs not a done deal, and it shouldnât be. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/12/eus-new-digital-package-proposal-promises-red-tape-cuts-guts-gdpr-privacy-rights

Emily Carr
Emily Carr was a Canadian artist inspired by the forests of British Columbia. She was one of the pre-eminent Canadian painters of the first half of the 20th century, and perhaps the most original. đ¨đ¨đŚ #Canada

What I love about walking through the forest is that you enter a realm that is governed by the ageless rules of nature. The interplay of plants and animals going about their daily business is the true reality of life on earth. It reaches deep into the past and will continue far into the future. As you enter, you leave our transient, manufactured world and briefly see life as it always has been and always will be.

Viral posts claim you need to opt out of Gmailâs âsmart featuresâ to avoid having your emails used to train AI, but Google says it doesnât use the content of your emails for AI training."

Veritasium recently posted a great video about jet engine material science, icymi. It's a real eye opener. I had no clue about the science, engineering, and production of a jet engine turbine blade. Crazy technology!
To my #American friends: Heads up, the #USPTO is about to make bad patents untouchable and is inviting your (the public) comments by Dec 2. Sounds to me like you might want to provide feedback. The #EFF has some very good examples of why this is bad and how you can take action by commenting: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/11/patent-office-about-make-bad-patents-untouchable
